Abwasserzweckverband Weiße Elster – Hasselbach / Thierbach

The Abwasserzweckverband Weisse Elster – Hasselbach / Thierbach has the task of providing sanitation (waste-water and storm-water) for its associated area (surface area about 225 km²), which also includes the municipality of Elsteraue. To accomplish this task the “Eurawasser Aufbereitungs- und Entsorgungsgesellschaft Saale-Unstrut GmbH” was entrusted with the roles of commercial and technical management. This management includes the operation and maintenance of a 240 km sewer system for waste-water and mixed water, including 95 pumping and lifting stations. Eurawasser also looks after the approximately 18,800 inhabitants in the association´s territory.
