PURAGLOBE GMBH

The PURAGLOBE GmbH is the German subsidiary of Puralube Inc. (Wayne / USA), a US group of companies and the parent of numerous subsidiaries. PURAGLOBE Zeitz in Saxony-Anhalt currently operates two refineries in the Park, which apply the innovative UOP HyLube ™ process with a total throughput of 150,000 t pa. Since the world’s first refinery started its production by this method in mid-2004, high quality API group II base oils (from used oil) have been produced in Zeitz. In order to meet the strong demand for the Puralube base oils, a sister plant was put into operation at the same location at the end of 2008. Today, about 90,000 tons of base oil and 50,000 tons of other petroleum products are produced. At the site, around 105 employees work in production, quality assurance, sales and administration.
