GuD Zeitz GmbH prepares to build up and operate a natural gas-fired combined heat and power plant at the CIP Zeitz. The plan is a flexible power plant with a capacity of 130 MW of electricity and steam generation.
Construction is expected to begin in late summer 2010 and with the end of 2012 the operation of the power plant should start.
The natural gas for the power plant is to be obtained from the interconnected Gas AG in Leipzig.
